Flash Fiction Post 83 – Dragon

This week I thought to try another new topic. I’ve never attempted a story about dragons before. So I decided that I should try one of those. I hope you enjoy it. The story is simply called Dragon.

Read all the Flash Fiction stories and “Thoughts for the Day” on Dave’s Blog or Dave’s Blog Archives.

Now, I’ve been talking, for a while about new things coming soon. First, I have decided to relaunch my “Thoughts for the day”. I enjoyed writing them and hope you enjoyed reading them. I won’t commit to a regular frequency but I will try for one a week – it really just depends on when I feel that I have a thought that’s worth writing about. A new feature entirely that I’d like to introduce, will be based on situations in South Africa that I have thoughts and ideas about. Examples are Education, Housing for the poor, Land redistribution and so on. I plan to write articles on subjects like these, laying out the issues as I see them and suggesting possible solutions. I’m going to call the feature “Messages to Government”. Whether anyone in government will read them is questionable, since I sometimes feel that government is not really concerned about solving the problems of the nation.

But if I put my thoughts and ideas out there, there is always a chance that one of them can and will make a positive difference to people’s lives. The first article will be about some thoughts I had on housing for the poor so look out for that.

Please send me comments, if you have any. I really want to be writing about things that interest you, whether they be fiction or non-fiction.

Remember that you can now sign up to my VIP Readers’ Group on the Dave Macfie Stories fan page on Facebook. Look at the bottom of the menu list under the photo on the top left hand side.

Have a great day.

Cheers, Dave
