Hi,
I’m back to Flash Fiction after concentrating for a while on Book 3 of the Creator’s Egg Series, which I started on the first of November. I completed the first draft of the book and then had a short holiday and the new-year period where nothing very much got done. I have started Book 4 of the series and have completed to the end of chapter four. As a result I have determined my publication schedule for the five books: Book 1: Angels of Opteria – Fourth week of January; Book 2: The Swords of Freedom – Late February; Book 3: The Orb of Truth – Late March; Book 4: Broken Shards – Late April and Book 5: The Power of the Creator – Late May or early June. Watch out for further announcements on specific dates
Now back to the Flash Fiction series, today I’m sharing my story number 7.
If you haven’t managed to read any of the stories yet you can find them all on Dave’s Blog or Dave’s Blog Archives.
When you post a comment on one of my stories, feel free to suggest a topic for a story and I will gladly write one on that topic. I will also appreciate any other suggestions or comments you may have.
Here’s my seventh story called, Survivor.

Welcome back 🙂
As usual a very well written story with a twist in the tail.
Enjoyed this one as well, made me think back to Steve and I playing in the garden at night.
I feel where you’re coming from. I did much the same thing as a kid. I even dug my own ‘bunker’ under a large rock in my garden. I used to hide there when I was mad or depressed or ‘running away.
I loved the story ‘Survivor’. I felt totally immersed in the hero’s world and the ending was fantastic.
I’m really glad you enjoyed the story. It’s funny how some things from childhood stick with you. The way children can escape into worlds in their imagination is one of these things. Go figure!
