Thought for the Day 30 June 2017

Another working week gone and another half year at the same time – gone. Time flies when you’re having fun, they say. Who is “they”? I’ve often wondered about that. If it was me talking, I’d probably say “Time flies faster when you are very young or getting old.” So does that mean that I’m not one of the “they” people? Or just that time doesn’t fly for me when I’m having fun? I suppose it could mean that I don’t have fun so time never flies. I’ll have to think more about that later, when I have some time.

All of this gets confusing if I think enough about it and that takes even more time, so I guess thinking about it isn’t fun or time would be flying. But only if I was one of the “they” people, I suppose. The one thing I do know is if I waste time, I can never get it back again. So perhaps the real question is, “Am I wasting time writing about this thought for the day?” But, because I haven’t told you yet what the thought is, how would you know the answer to that?

So let me put you out of your misery. My thought for today is:

“People with active, healthy minds, live longer, happier lives!”

OR, to put it another way:

“The day you stop learning is the day you die.”

Even the bit of nonsense I used to introduce this thought, made me think, so it was exercising my mind.

So, train your brain to keep it strong and fit. You won’t regret it.

Have an awesome weekend.

Cheers, Dave
