Thought for the Day 28 September, 2017

Thought for the Day 28 September 2017

My last few thoughts have been a bit heavy, so today I will take my own often offered advice and “lighten up”. I have been pondering, why it is that when I relax, my tummy just naturally takes up the “beer belly” look even after hours and hours of strenuous ABS workouts at the gym. It seems so unfair that the muscles don’t have any discipline when I drop my concentration on the sleek image that my exercise deserves. I mean, I shouldn’t have to flex all the time just to look as if I’m fit. You’d think the stupid muscles would be able to do it without supervision. But no, as soon as I’m not watching – ‘boing’, it is beer belly time. So, with a tear in my eye, at the injustice of life, I offer my thought for today:

“Tummies just can’t be trusted to do the right thing. They have to be constantly monitored if you want them to shape up!”

BTW – I’m told by my family that the reason is a combination of beer intake and advancing years. But that’s obviously an attempt to discredit me rather than the offending tummy so I plan to ignore it.

And on that note, I wish you all a wonderful weekend.

Cheers, Dave
