Thought for the Day 12 June, 2017

Thought for the Day – 12 June 2017

To start the week, I have a mathematical thought. But don’t worry. If you can count to twenty six and add numbers with your calculator, you’ll be fine.

The thought is based on a simple code that I found, where the twenty six letters of the alphabet are paired with numbers one to twenty six. One is A, two is B and so on until twenty six is Z. Then the code is used to translate the individual letters of certain words and phrases into numbers. Finally the numbers are added up to reach a score for that word or phrase. Easy, huh? OK, so what are we trying to do with the code? Well we are trying to answer the following questions about success.

  1. What makes 100% achievement or effort in life or in work?
  2. What does it mean to achieve or give more than 100%? Did you ever wonder about those people, who say they are giving more than 100%?

Here’s how we use our code to answer these questions. (Substituting the numbers for the letters and adding them up)

HARD WORK = 8 + 1 + 18 + 4 + 23 + 15 + 18 + 11 = 98%

And KNOWLEDGE = 11 + 14 + 15 + 23 + 12 + 5 + 4 + 7 + 5 = 96%

But ATTITUDE = 1 + 20 + 20 + 9 + 20 + 21 + 4 + 5 = 100%

And BULLSHIT = 2 + 21 + 12 + 12 + 19 + 8 + 9 + 20 = 103%

And ASS KISSING = 1 + 19 + 19 + 11 + 9 + 19 + 19 + 14 + 7 = 118%

So, with mathematical certainty, this is the resulting thought for the day:

HARD WORK and KNOWLEDGE will get you close, and ATTITUDE will get you to 100%. But it’s the BULLSHIT and ASS KISSING that push you over the top”

Now you know why some people are far more successful than others.

Cheers,

Dave
