Flash Fiction Post 72 – A Walk in the Sun

Morning All.

I’m working on this post in Tayport, which is close to Dundee in the East of Scotland. I’m here visiting my sister. The morning is overcast, grey, cold and wet but the view from the river-facing windows is spectacular – out over the River Tay to the city of Dundee and the hills and woods beyond. Not more than 20 meters from the windows is Tayport’s marina, filled with yachts and motor boats. So from this setting, here’s my story for today. I t comes from last year’s writing challenge, 12 in 12. If you are a reader or a writer and wish to have some fun, go to the website at 12 in 12 and get busy.

The prompt for this story was “Calculated Risk” and it was to be 1800 words exactly. It is called A Walk in the Sun.
