Flash Fiction Post 60 – The Escape

Morning everyone.

During 2017 I participated in a writing challenge called 12 in 12. The idea was that each participant would write a short story each month for 12 months. The story had to be a response to a ‘prompt’ like ‘The List” or ‘A White Lie’ or ‘Going Home’ and it had to be a specified number of words, delivered on a specific deadline date. Each participant also had to review at least four of the other stories each month. A new challenge begins this month for 2018. The first prompt is ‘The Bridge’. It has to be exactly 1200 words and the deadline is 24th January, 2018.

If you are a writer and wish to have some fun, go to the website at 12 in 12 and get busy.

I joined the 2017 challenge late and only completed nine stories, which I intend to publish, on this blog, over the next few weeks.

The first story is called The Escape.

Read all the Flash Fiction stories and “Thoughts for the Day” on Dave’s Blog or Dave’s Blog Archives.

Keep an eye on the Blog. There will be more new things coming soon.

Remember that you can now sign up to my VIP Readers’ Group on the Dave Macfie Stories fan page on Facebook. Look at the bottom of the menu list under the photo on the top left hand side.

Cheers, Dave
